Summerhill Community Ministries (SCM) maintains the highest level of respect for the privacy of program participants, including donors, volunteers, parents, and community members. Our privacy policy defines how all personal information submitted to SCM will be used, while honoring everyone’s right to privacy.
SCM collects and uses personal information from program participants in order to provide services. Information collected includes:
- Names
- Addresses
- Telephone numbers
- E-mail addresses
- School information
Also, SCM keeps a record of each donor’s giving history. This information is kept on file for IRS purposes and is used in our development process to analyze overall giving patterns in order to make accurate budget projections.
SCM will never sell, trade, or rent any information of program participants for any reason. SCM may use personal information for additional purposes, including:
• Distributing receipts for donations
• Sending thank you to donors for their donation
• Sharing information about program openings
• Replying to messages sent from the website or left by phone
• Informing newsletter subscribers about news and upcoming fundraisers
• Internal analysis and record keeping
• Reporting to relevant U.S. and State agencies for tax purposes
• Contacting site users about changes to this policy
Program participants who have signed a media release may have their images or names used for promotional and fundraising activities.
